🔍 Product Description
DIOCTYL PHTHALATE (DOP)
Relative molecular mass: 390.30
Application Guide:
Widely applied to the production of PVC, vinyl-chloride copolymer, and cellulose resins. It is also used to make thin films, artificial leather, wires, cables, sheets, panels, moldings, and plasticized pastes.
This product acts as a softener for synthetic rubber (such as nitrile rubber), improving rebound resilience and decreasing compression set without influencing vulcanization. Approximately 80% to 90% of DOP is utilized in the PVC industry, with remaining applications in rubber, recycled plastics, lubricants, paints, and capacitor oil.
🏭 Application Examples
DOP is essential for anti-atomization and weather-resistance agricultural PVC films, insulation-grade cables, conveyor belts, transparent hoses, enamel toys, and medical-grade gloves.
1. General Grade: Used in leather, agricultural film, and packing materials.
2. Electrical Grade: Superior insulating properties for wires and cables.
3. Food Grade: Specifically for food-safe packaging materials.
